Creative Media Studio 1:Integrated Studio Project (Execution)

Artist's statement:

“This animation is inspired by various stories about sexual abuse on children and my own personal experience on the subject of sexual abuse. There are many medias produced on the prevention measures and warnings about sexual abuse, but I don’t see enough for those that have gone through sexual abuse and so have lost love for themselves and their lives. Thus I wanted to create a motivational and inspiring animation to instil hope and confidence for the victims as to regain the power to cherish their body and life in hopes of helping them to positively move forward in life. “

Difficulties/Reflection:

     Not sure whether it was my lack of experience in any animation work or my poor knowledge of using Adobe programmes, that I had to go through several rendering failures, corrupted files and countless save interruptions.

However, it was a sweet experience despite being dipped into bitterness to the near drowning point. The project taught me a lot about the work that goes behind animation and design work. I have a deeper appreciation for animators, especially those that do draw each frame by hand because that's what I mostly did in my project. It was strenuously satisfying to see the outcome of effortful work and lots of heart in every frame.
